English is commonly used in all business transactions; however, the common spoken language is Hindi. Official language of the Conference will be English.

Weather:

Delhi has a tropical climate with warm and wet summers, and mild winters. January is generally dry and cool, and the average temperature ranges from 8°C to 15°C.

Electricity:

In India, electricity is supplied as 200/220 Volts. Plugs are a mixture of square, round three-pin and round two-pin; but the most common type is the UK-type three pin-plugs.

Entry Requirements:

Travelers must hold a valid passport or travel documents with a minimum of 6 months expiry date after the period of intended visit. Please consult the respective Indian embassy for entry requirements into India.

Transport:

Public transportation via bus and metro-rail is efficient, relatively inexpensive and user-friendly. The system covers extensive areas of New Delhi with signage in English.

Health:

Delhi's large population is provided with a comprehensive range of medical and health services by the public and private sectors. No vaccinations are currently required for entry into India, but please check with a qualified health professional for the most current information concerning your exact travel itinerary and personal health history. Tap water is generally safe for consumption, but bottled water is recommended.
